Breve Antología Poética 
de Luis Benítez


Ediciones Juglaría ha publicado recientemente una Breve Antología Poética de Luis Benítez con selección e introducción de la narradora y poeta Elizabeth Auster, quien analiza los orígenes y la evolución de la obra del autor. La selección recorre la obra publicada hasta hoy por Luis Benítez, poeta argentino reconocido internacionalmente, galardonado en 2007 con el I Premio Internacional para Obra Publicada "Macedonio Palomino", de México por La tarde del elefante y otros poemas. Elizabeth Auster es también la antóloga de los Poemas Reunidos publicados por la editorial española La Sombra del Membrillo. Recientemente se publicó en Rosario un antología de la obra poética de Benítez y en México una reedición del poemario inicialmente editado en Caracas (2006), La Tarde del Elefante y Otros Poemas. Por otra parte, Paul Guillén, de Ediciones Sol Negro (Lima, Perú) nos anuncia que está próximo a editarse el poemario de Luis Benítez, Manhattan Song

Se acaba de lanzar rl segundo tomo de Poet´s Bookshelf publicada por la editorial Barnwood, de Seattle, Estados Unidos, a comienzos de este mismo año. Poet´s Bookshelf reúne artículos firmados por distintos poetas, la mayoría de ellos norteamericanos, donde los autores expresan cuáles fueron los 10 libros que más influyeron en su obra y explican por qué. Luis Benítez fue el único poeta latinoamericano invitado y, entre los poetas norteamericanos laureados, se encuentra el legendario Robert Bly (Minnesota, 1926), fundador de las revistas The FiftiesThe Sixties y The Seventies, donde publicó a autores no conocidos en Norteamérica como Pablo Neruda, Antonio Machado y César Vallejo.
